Insomnia –guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment

Abstract: Basic diagnostic problems in patients complaining of insomnia were discussed. Most important rules of treatment were described with a special attention to non-pharmacological methods of therapy. The necessity to decrease the use of hypnotics was indicated.
Streszczenie: Przedstawiono podstawowe problemy diagnostyczne u pacjentów skarżących się na bezsenność. Przedyskutowano podstawowe zasady postępowania, ze szczególnym zwróceniem uwagi na metody niefarmakologiczne. Wskazano na konieczność ograniczonego stosowania leków nasennych.
